Trip back to the 'Burgh

Carissa and I took a trip back to the 'Burgh and spent the day in South Oakland. After walking around these beautiful parallel streets I understand why Steve decided not to leave. We had a great bite to eat down at Uncle Sam's which was a great blast from the past. We then walked down to the heart of campus. I just wanted to show everyone how pregnant Carissa is getting. Look at the picture to the left and you can see that her belly is about half the base of the Cathedral of Learning. After I made her pose for this picture Carissa got angry and climbed to the top and began swatting at planes and birds.

Baby's Room

Erik did not like the other blog I started, so he made me switch to this one. Here are a few pictures of the baby's room in Charlottesville. We don't have a lot of space right now, but we only have till June 26th before we move up north. I am very excited that I get to decorate a nursery twice! I can't wait to use the crib that is sitting in Ed and Maureen's basement.

Waiting for baby

Just wanted to check in with everybody. So far Carissa's body is bound and determined to hold onto this baby no matter what we try. She's tried walking miles upon miles, she eats pineapples and spicy foods everyday, she drinks castor oil like it's water....and all it gives her is heartburn and the runs.

Carissa had her 40 week appointment with the OB-Gyn today who took pity on her and decided to schedule her for an induction this Friday 4/30. If her body doesn't beat the doctors to it we should have a baby by this weekend. Carissa is very excited about the idea of holding her baby (along with seeing her feet again and being able to sleep on her belly).

Just wanted to also send a shout out to the Pittsburgh Penguins. If they continue to win we're seriously thinking about about naming the baby, if it's a boy, Sidney. And if it's a girl I guess we'll name it Sidney as well.
